CONCESSION SALES - activity descriptions

1 Event Chair 1 Event Co-Chair or 2 Co-Chairs

Event Chairs - responsible for successful purchasing of all perishables/non-perishables; adequate staffing for the event, the tally of cash and credit card sales at the end of the event; preparation of event report to the membership at the appointed meeting, reconciling/reporting the number of actual volunteer hours for the Sign Up Genius Chair ensuring appropriate table coverage, club signage, membership information, and table decorations are in place.

Pre-Event Needs (Day of the Event):

6  - Setup Crews (to arrive 90 minutes before the start of the event) - Setup crews will be responsible for collecting/delivering all equipment and supplies from the various storage locations to the event locations, filling the beverage coolers with ice from the Assateague Room, and assisting with the placement of such equipment, supplies and table coverings at the event including the Kiwanis tents (when needed) and flags.  Setup time: 90 minutes maximum.

During Event Needs:

1 Cash Cashier (for events longer than 3 hours, this number may be doubled)

1 Credit Card Cashier (for events longer than 3 hours, this number may be doubled)

2 Grillers for hot dogs, hamburgers/cheeseburgers

1 Chopped onion prepper (chop, prepare, deliver to event)

1 Sauerkraut prepper (prepare, deliver to event)

2 Preppers/Assembly (responsible for taking hot dogs/burgers from the Grillers and putting them with appropriate bun, wrapping in foil -- hot dogs should be placed in hot dog holder and then wrapped in foil sheets; Preppers also responsible for placing cooked items into appropriate chafing dishes or handing off to the Bussers).

2 Bussers (responsible for ensuring/replenishing all products are available in chafing dishes, condiment tables, paper beverages, AND  for cleanup of any table spills, messes, etc.)

Post-Event Needs:

2 Cleanup Crews - Cleanup crews will supplement the volunteers remaining at the end of the event.  Responsible for the breakdown of all tables, and chairs, discarding of spoils into trash; assisting Grillers with cleanup of grills, chafing dishes, coolers, equipment, etc., and the return of any items into various storage locations as directed by the Event Chair/Co-chairs.
